Jack auditioned and got to play in the 5th grade production of Peter Pan. It was absolutely wonderful! He played John and remembered all of his lines, got to wear a top hat and sword fight on stage!! He was a natural! Thank you so much to all of our friends and family that came to see him. We love that you took the time to come!! And I am so sad that I didn't get to take a picture of Aunt Rebecca, Uncle Alex and Wyatt that came to the play but had to leave with a sick little boy before it was over. Thank you so much for coming!!

Spelling Bee

Jack was the runner up in the school spelling bee. He will now get to compete in the District Bee in January! Go J!!! We are so proud, maybe no one more than Maree-Claire who jumped out of her chair and yelled when he finished!!!

Fifth Grade Christmas Play (with a really cute 4th grader)

Jack's fifth grade school play was last week at school. They did a Christmas play. It was fantastic! And since Maree-Claire is in a 5th grade class this year, she got to be in the play too. Jack was a narrator and MC was an elf. ADORABLE! They both did so GREAT!

Busy Weekend!

This past weekend we had our first Christmas party of the season. Adam and I got to get dressed up and go out! And then Saturday morning at 8am MC had her first ball game of the season (at least her first game she got to play-we were out of town for the first game). She played great! And they won the game big, so fun morning all around! Then on Sunday we helped with the Alternative Christmas Market at church. The kids helped sell their goods. They did such a great job! What a fun weekend but man do I need a nap!!!

I am not sure I have ever put pictures of our house at Christmas on the blog before. But I use this blog to remember everything in our lives, so I wanted to put them on there this year! I absolutely love Christmas and everything about it. I decorate early (gasp!) and enjoy every minute of it! I usually take everything down the day after Christmas too, so its really not up any longer. So, here we go!

Thanksgiving 2011

It has been way too long since I have posted on here! I will try to be better!! This year we went to my mom and dad's for Thanksgiving. It was a great day with my family! The kids have SO much fun playing together and it was really low key for the adults. Thank you mom and dad for having us! We love you guys so much!!!

More First Day of School 2011-12

My sweet babies are big 4th and 5th graders this year. Jack is in Mrs. Leake's class (and that was his pick for the past 2 years!) and MC is in Mrs. Smith's room. MC is in a 5th grade class with only 7 4th graders in it. She is LOVING this year! I cannot believe this is my sweet Jack's last year in elementary school! It seems like yesterday that he was a kindergartners. And after next year, I won't have any more elementary school kids! Where did the time go! I sound like such an old lady! These sweet kids are a pleasure to parent. Of course, we have our challenges, but we love their little personalities. They are really great kids!
