Our family vacation this year was to Disney World! We got oiled out of our normal beach vacation, so we surprised the kids with this trip!! We got up on Saturday morning and told the kids that we had to leave our house at 4:45am because we had a further drive than usual to another beach. We met our friends at McDonald's at 5am. We ordered breakfast and put a bag with "clues" inside each kids' meal. They each got a photoshopped picture of all 6 kids with Mickey Mouse ears on + a picture of an airplane = ??. They just looked very confused for a while. Then one of them said that they thought we were going to Disney World. Now, this did not go like I thought it would in my mind. MC said, and I quote, "AW, I wanted to go to the beach." My eyes filled up with tears, no kidding! This is what we figured out later. The kids all seemed to think that we were not going anywhere right then and that we were going to Disney World later. This is due to the fact that we have told our kids for 2 1/2 years (our last DW trip) that we were too broke to go back for a LONG time. So, anyway, once they grasped the fact that we were leaving right away, we went to the airport and went to DW for the next 6 nights and 7 days. We had the BEST time!! We rode rides, (TONS OF RIDES) saw characters, laughed so much, ate good food and walked A LOT!! We had a great time with some of our greatest friends! We came home with blisters and exhausted and the Kees cannot wait to go again!
